1. Overview

Rainsight Inc. (“Rainsight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the analytics platform available at go.rainsight.io (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.

Billing Information
When you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect payment information including your credit card details. Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor. Rainsight does not store full credit card numbers on its servers.

Amazon Seller Data
When you connect your Amazon Seller account, Rainsight accesses your Amazon sales, traffic, and inventory data via the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API). This data is used exclusively to power your Rainsight dashboard and analytics. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you.

Usage Data
We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform. This is used to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Display your Amazon sales and performance data in your dashboard
  • Send transactional communications such as receipts and account notifications
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve and develop the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data or your Amazon seller data to any third party, and we do not use your Amazon data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

4. Amazon Selling Partner API Data

Rainsight integrates with Amazon's Selling Partner API (SP-API) to retrieve your Amazon account data. By connecting your Amazon account, you authorize Rainsight to access your sales, traffic, and inventory data on your behalf.

Our use of SP-API data is strictly limited to:

  • Displaying your data within your Rainsight dashboard
  • Generating analytics and trend reports for your account
  • Alerting you to notable changes in your account performance

We do not use SP-API data to train machine learning models, benchmark against other sellers, or share with any third parties. You may disconnect your Amazon account at any time via Account Settings → Amazon Integration.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third parties only as necessary to operate the Service, including:

  • Payment processors to handle subscription billing
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, databases) to run the Service
  • Analytics tools to understand platform usage in aggregate

All third-party service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes for which it was shared.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

Amazon data synced to your account is retained for up to 2 years to support historical analytics. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@rainsight.io.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@rainsight.io.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email support@rainsight.io.

9. Cookies

Rainsight uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@rainsight.io.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and notify users by email if the changes are material. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
